Red Frogs is a global program with their mission being: to combat a culture in Australia that is largely dominated by alcohol and other substances, often leading to dangerous and life-altering behaviours for young people.
Red Frogs Noosa acts as a support network for teens and young adults in our community. By regularly serving & supporting young people, we are given opportunities to encourage and connect at a deeper level.
WEEKLY WITH FROGS
Each week a team of Red Frogs cook up a pancake breakfast for students at Sunshine Beach State High. These students who otherwise may go without, get some fuel and encouragement for the day ahead.
After many weeks of consistent connection, we have also been able to invite teenagers along to Friday night youth group where they have met Christian teenagers and hear the gospel.
Upcoming Events
Schoolies
The flagship calendar event for Red Frogs is fast approaching. Registrations are now open to serve young school leavers at Schoolies 2024.
Over 1500 Red Frog volunteers provide direct relief, safety and support to young people during Schoolies/Leavers Week across 14 locations.
There is support needed both at Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast as well as here at home in Noosa. Young adults 18-30 wishing join the Red Frogs this November can find more information and sign up at www.redfrogs.com.au.
Red Frogs recognises that young people’s culture is dominated by alcohol, especially during events like Schoolies/Leavers Week. Excessive substance use can lead to risky beha-viour. Our volunteers serve as a positive peer presence, monitoring accommodation venues and streets to help keep school leavers safe.
