The Food Outlet and Op Shop is a non profit initiative of Noosa Church. As a church we want to support our local community in the best way we can, so we have a good sized shop that stocks a great variety of low priced food and groceries, affordable second hand clothing and variety of bric-a-brac, toys and small household items.
Through making all of these low-cost items available, we are building relationships with those that are doing life with us in this area. We take the opportunity to serve tea & coffee with morning tea a few mornings a week and just get to know the people around us.
Who can shop in the Food Outlet and Op Shop?
We welcome everyone to come and shop in our store. It’s a great space to browse clothing and accessories at the same times as stocking your pantry with groceries and fresh food. There are great savings to be had in a very pleasant shopping experience.
We welcome any bus groups that would like to come through as well (just drop me a line so we can be best prepared for you).
If you have a valid pension card or health care card, there are a variety of extra items at low cost, including fruit and vegetables, dairy, and essential groceries.
Donate your quality clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories, linen, books, toys, and household décor items at either our donation bins at the front of the property Tuesday to Friday or bring it down to the shop during opening hours.
We do not accept electrical items, furniture or baby car seats / highchairs etc.
If you would like to join us as a volunteer please drop in and meet us or give us a call. There are so many different areas that you can help us out, from packing and sorting food, washing and sorting clothes, stock pick up, and truck driving.
If you require any more information or would like to get involved, please contact Jane Spies on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0421 788 948.
