Let’s Talk Membership

Becoming a member of a local church comes out of the revelation that we are not alone in our pursuit of God. It is our commitment to a shared pursuit of our Lord.

The Church (the body of Christ) are those people today and throughout history who have committed themselves to Jesus as Lord. They have trusted in Him as Saviour and expressed this in a commitment to repentance, confession, baptism, and discipleship; and to gather in local fellowships of committed disciples, like Noosa Church.

We are a local church family that acknowledges other fellowships but recognises that commitment and growth are exercised in regular gatherings, as we pursue Christ together, while loving God and one another.

Membership at the local church is a way we can respond to the call in Ephesians 4:1-3:

“…walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace”.
